There were reports last week saying Paige’s career with WWE as an in-ring competitor is done. Although WWE hasn’t addressed this report just yet, Michael Cole did say the Anti Diva was pulled from the Women’s Royal Rumble due to a neck injury so that is at least some confirmation at this point and the news doesn’t look good.

Although Paige was pulled from the Women’s Royal Rumble, it looks like she’s still keeping in great spirits. In a social media post, Paige commented saying 2018 WILL be her year. She capitalized every letter in the word “will” which means she’s serious about this statement.
But unfortunately, her persistence probably won’t cause WWE’s doctors to change their minds if they’ve already decided she can’t compete anymore, just ask Daniel Bryan.
Odds are Paige’s retirement announcement might be held off awhile due to Absolution’s heel status, but you never know what could happen after the Royal Rumble is said and done.
