SPOILER: A former World Champion is on his way back to WWE

As noted earlier, WWE is going to do everything to build up their “Greatest Royal Rumble” stadium show taking place on 4/27 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. If you are wondering why WWE would give away a 50-man Royal Rumble match at a live event, it’s simple. They are getting paid a ton of money for the show and it’s important for their TV deal in that part of the world.

PWInsider reported on Monday that WWE has reached out to Chris Jericho about returning to appear on that show and all signs indicate that he will be there. It’s not clear yet if this is just a one-shot deal or if this will lead to his full-time return to WWE television. WWE is attempting to bring in as many big names as possible for this show. Jericho has been on tour with his band Fozzy and has not wrestled much this year. Following his awesome match with Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12, Jericho started a new feud with Tetsuya Naito. However, there hasn’t been any follow-up since their angle in January and no word on when their match will take place. Jericho told a fan on Twitter last week that he was done with New Japan Pro Wrestling. It’s not clear if Jericho said that to keep future storyline plans under wraps or if he is telling the truth.

For those of you that have asked, Jericho will not be at WrestleMania in New Orleans because he has a date booked for his band Fozzy in New Hampshire.
