Tonight’s Monday Night Raw should be interesting. PWInsider is reporting that two big names are not currently backstage at Raw in Detroit, MI.
Although WWE touted that Rousey would be on every Raw leading up to WrestleMania, she has not been seen backstage today.
Also, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman are not currently backstage, despite the fact that he was advertised to appear on tonight’s show. This could be part of WWE’s plan to play into some of the criticism from fans. The hope is that this storyline will help put over Reigns as a babyface to his detractors.
Dave Meltzer reported last week that Lesnar’s “no show” on Raw 2 weeks ago was something decided on at the last minute because they wanted to capitalize on the photo posted on Dana White’s twitter account and help get Reigns over as the babyface that shows up every week for the fans. The funny thing is that there are people in WWE that believe Lesnar is leaving soon so he can fight in again in UFC so some of what has been said about him on TV has a thread of truth in it.
