16-year-old independent wrestler hospitalized after match

You never know what can happen at an indie wrestling show. Corey Storm is a 16-year-old pro wrestler who keeps making towns and impressing crowds in spite of his age. But he recently experienced a slight setback when an angle after a match went awry.

Following a fatal four-way match at Prodigy Pro Wrestling’s “King Of Pain” event in Memphis, Indiana the 16-year-old pro wrestler was assaulted in the ring with a pair of brass knuckles.

Although this spot might have been agreed upon before the show, it looks like things got a little too close for comfort with the foreign object because Corey Storm suffered a broken nose, facial contusions, and a minor concussion in the process. Storm spent all night in the emergency room following the event and as you can see from his personal Facebook post the next morning he didn’t sound happy at all about how it went down.

Corey Storm might be young but he’s extremely talented and hopefully, he will be able to overcome this obstacle and get back to business very soon. It’s also way too early for him to be getting concussions, even if it’s a minor one. He has a long road ahead of him and if he could avoid any future contact with brass knuckles that would certainly help his odds of having an even more successful career.
