Matt Hardy says Jeff Hardy may take some time away from wrestling to work on his neck.

Matt brought it up on the latest episode of Extreme Life of Matt Hardy when he was asked whether booking could be his next character.

“It’s going to be interesting to see what my next character is, especially if Jeff takes a little time off, you know, to try and work on his neck a little bit, and that may be happening. I guess we’ll see,” Matt said.

Asked if Jeff is going to take time off, Matt said, “He might.”

Matt said Jeff’s neck has been bothering him for a year, and that Jeff has done everything he can to manage it.

“I think he’s maybe gonna take some time off and just see what he can do to get it fixed up and correct it as much as possible,” Matt said.

Jeff said in January that he had been working with two bulging discs on the left side of his neck. He said the injury happened when he and Matt lost the NXT Tag Team Championship at NXT Halloween Havoc in October 2025, when he hit his head on the mat after missing a table.

The Hardys lost to syX in a Falls Count Anywhere match at Bound for Glory on October 11 in Tampa.

We wish Jeff Hardy a full recovery.
