Glenn Jacobs, the WWE Hall of Famer who wrestled as Kane, reunited with Linda McMahon this week, 23 years after he gave her a Tombstone Piledriver on Raw.
Jacobs posted photos of the two of them backstage on X on Thursday, a day after McMahon, now the U.S. Secretary of Education, spoke at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
“It was great to hear Secretary @EDSecMcMahon and @realDonaldTrump’s vision for higher education yesterday at Vanderbilt University!” Jacobs wrote. “Having worked around, Linda for years it was a pleasure to see her in the Volunteer state!”

McMahon spoke at Vanderbilt on Oct. 28 as part of her “The Next 250” speaking tour on higher education. She also held a fireside chat with Vanderbilt Chancellor Daniel Diermeier. The events were closed to the media, according to The Vanderbilt Hustler.
The 2003 Tombstone
On the July 21, 2003 episode of Raw, Kane grabbed McMahon by the throat on the entrance stage and gave her a Tombstone Piledriver. The attack came a month after Kane lost his mask to Triple H on the June 23, 2003 Raw, and it set up his feud with Shane McMahon, which led to a Last Man Standing match at SummerSlam 2003.
The clip resurfaced after Donald Trump picked McMahon to lead the Department of Education. In March 2025, Colin Jost used a still of the Tombstone as a punchline during the Weekend Update segment of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.”
From WWE To Public Office
McMahon co-founded WWE with Vince McMahon and served as the company’s CEO. She later ran Donald Trump’s Small Business Administration during his first term and was confirmed as Secretary of Education in March 2025.
Jacobs was the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, from 2018 until he left office on Sept. 1, term-limited after two four-year terms. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021. In September, Axios reported that Jacobs was viewed as a possible appointee to Marsha Blackburn’s U.S. Senate seat if she wins the Tennessee governor’s race.
