The Miz says he didn’t know he was on a losing streak until fans online pointed it out, and that he still hasn’t pinned anyone since it began.

Speaking with hosts Danny Murphy and Evan Real on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio, Mizanin was asked about his recent win.

“I’ve been on a losing streak for the past two years. I did not know this, by the way. Everyone else was telling me this on the internet and I was not aware that it’s been a two-year streak that I’ve been losing,” Mizanin said. “I just try to make the best match possible for the audience, right? I’m always out there to make a moment, to make people talk, to make things go viral… I’m not really worried about, you know, the wins and losses or keeping track of it.”

He also pointed out that he didn’t get the pin when the streak ended. “I was in a tag team match and my tag team partner pinned the guy. So, is that really even a win?” Mizanin said. “I still haven’t pinned a guy in 2 years.”

Mizanin and Kit Wilson beat Fraxiom on WWE Main Event, with Wilson pinning Axiom. It ended a run of 44 straight matches without a win, including house shows, dating back to when Mizanin and Carmelo Hayes beat the Motor City Machine Guns on the August 22, 2025 episode of SmackDown. Mizanin’s last singles win came on the February 5, 2024 episode of Raw, when he beat JD McDonagh.

The Miz on his daughter: ‘You didn’t try hard enough’

In a separate clip, Mizanin said one of his daughters told him he “didn’t try hard enough” after she watched him lose on WWE’s holiday tour last year.

“I took my kids with me on the bus. Like we were going to do five shows every day. They get to come out and see dad wrestle. And I lost the first day,” Mizanin said. “I walked into my bus and my daughter is like, ‘You lost.’ And I go, ‘Yeah, sometimes.’ She goes, ‘No, no, no. You didn’t try hard enough.'”

Mizanin said the next day, while he was lacing his boots, his daughter told him she didn’t want to watch.

“It almost like broke my heart. She’s like, ‘But are you going to try harder?’ And I go, ‘Oh my gosh.’ She’s like, ‘You going to win?’ I go, ‘Yeah, I’m going to go in there and win.’ So they didn’t watch. And I went out there and I wrestled and I lost,” Mizanin said. “But I went in there and I lied and said to tell my daughter that I won. She goes, ‘See, you tried harder, didn’t you?’ And I go, ‘Yes, I did.'”

“I did lie to her, but I felt like it was good. I just don’t think they want to see dad in, like, a fight,” he added. “And now granted, they’re seven and eight. They understand. They get it, but it’s still dad.”

On that holiday tour, Mizanin challenged Carmelo Hayes for the United States Championship at every stop from December 27 to January 4 and lost each match.

Mizanin also told Real he has known Travis Kelce for about 15 years and plays golf with Travis and Jason Kelce at the American Century Championship. “The same guy I met 15 years ago is the same guy I see each and every time I go to the American Century Championship and play golf with him,” he said.
