Jacy Jayne’s main roster impact is already prompting backstage rewrites in WWE’s women’s division, with WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reporting that creative plans for Fatal Influence have begun to shift based on early crowd reactions.
Per WrestleVotes on Fightful Select, several people in the creative process have said plans in the women’s division have already been rearranged to feature Jayne more prominently following Fatal Influence’s strong performances across the past three weeks of WWE SmackDown. The specifics of what is being moved have not been detailed, but the internal read coming out of the call-up has prompted a faster lane for Jayne than was originally mapped.
Jayne, the former two-time NXT Women’s Champion and one-time TNA Knockouts World Champion, has been booked across her first three weeks against three of the company’s most established main roster women’s stars. She made her main roster debut on the April 24 episode of SmackDown, where Fatal Influence first interrupted the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title match between champions Brie Bella and Paige and challengers Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, then drew Jayne into an impromptu non-title match against WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley that ended in disqualification after Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid attacked Ripley.
The following week on the May 1 episode of SmackDown, Jayne defeated Charlotte Flair in singles competition, hitting the Rolling Encore after Henley broke up Flair’s Figure Eight to score one of the biggest wins of her career. The May 8 SmackDown then saw Fatal Influence as a unit beat the babyface trio of Ripley, Flair, and Bliss in a six-woman tag, with Jayne pinning Bliss after a Jade Cargill ringside distraction pulled Ripley out of the match. Jade Cargill returned to the show in the same segment, attacking Ripley, Flair, and Bliss alongside B-Fab and Michin.
Fatal Influence, as currently constituted, features Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid. The faction first formed in July 2024 in NXT with Jazmyn Nyx in Reid’s spot, and Jayne ran two NXT Women’s Championship reigns under the group’s banner, totaling 288 days with the title across both runs. Fatal Influence’s main roster move was confirmed on the April 24, 2026, episode of SmackDown, after Jayne’s final NXT match ended in a triple threat loss to Lola Vice at NXT Revenge.
