Max Caster says he won’t rule out a return to AEW, but that he is not taking any wrestling bookings right now.

Caster was asked about going back to AEW during a virtual signing with K&S WrestleFest on Monday.

“It’s wrestling, right? You never say never,” Caster said. “However, I am saying no to wrestling bookings right now, and that would be a wrestling booking so, I don’t know.”

Caster said the signing would be his last wrestling appearance for a while.

“I agreed to do the virtual signing a couple months ago, I think. I’m honoring this… This is my last wrestling thing for a while, so whoever’s here, I’m sure somebody is clipping this, waiting for me to say something crazy. I’m going to try not to today,” he said. “But, this will be the last time you guys see me for an undefined amount of time.”

He also thanked AEW President Tony Khan.

“I always got to shout out Tony Khan, because he’s supporting a lot of wrestlers living right now, including me. I’m still living off AEW money,” Caster said. “That’s a guy who, for whatever reason in his heart, is supporting wrestling and supporting wrestlers.”

Max Caster’s TNA exit

Caster’s AEW contract expired on October 1, and he made his TNA debut against Moose at Bound for Glory on October 11 in Tampa. During his entrance, he rapped, “I drop bombs. You don’t even have to fly to Riyadh,” a day after a deadly missile attack on the city’s main airport.

TNA said the next day that “making light of violent attacks is wrong” and that Caster “will no longer be wrestling for TNA.” Caster later apologized to TNA president Carlos Silva and the company’s office, saying he “went too far.”

On October 17, Caster told the crowd at Awesome Championship Wrestling’s Mischief Night II in Poughkeepsie, New York, that he was stepping away from the ring for an extended period and going to therapy.

Caster is a two-time AEW World Tag Team Champion with Anthony Bowens as The Acclaimed, and a former AEW World Trios Champion.
